Nominations have been opened for the 2021 Arkansas Business Hall of Fame class.
Established by the Sam M. Walton College of Business, the Arkansas Business Hall of Fame is designed to recognize Arkansas leaders who have made significant contributions to business and their communities.
Each year, no more than four individuals are inducted into the Hall of Fame. According to the Hall of Fame’s criteria, nominees are to be “Arkansans by birth or by choice” with equal consideration reportedly being given to individuals who have been born in Arkansas but with business achievements outside of the state as well as individuals whose achievements have been primarily in Arkansas.
Both living and posthumous nominations will be accepted, and all living nominees must be at least 60 years of age at the time of selection.
The selection committee will be considering a range of factors when deciding the inductees. These factors include having a “significant impact” as a business leader, accomplishments such as starting/building a business or leading an established business to greater heights, industry recognition, being an industry pioneer, having a community impact, and displaying a high level of ethics in business.
Nominations will be accepted until July 31.
Nominations may be submitted via email to abhf@walton.uark.edu or by mail to:
