Creshelle Nash, M.D., M.P.H., C.H.I.E., has been appointed to serve as the medical director for health equity and public programs, a newly created role, for Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Nash will head up the company’s efforts to impact health disparities in Arkansas. She will also support the roll-out of Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s National Health Equity Strategy.
“Dr. Nash has a passion for ensuring that every person we serve has equal opportunities for equitable care and outcomes,” Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield president and CEO Curtis Barnett said in a statement. “Her deep experience as a public health advocate will be critical as she provides oversight and guidance on key public programs supported by our company.”
Nash holds a medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed a medical residency at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C.
She also holds a master’s degree in public health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and completed the Commonwealth Fund Harvard University Fellowship in Minority Health Policy.
