In any startup ecosystem, the best way to network is to learn about different companies and ideas – while enjoying local beer and food. At Startup Junkie’s NWA Venture MashUp, that’s exactly what entrepreneurs get to do.
Next Thursday, NWA Venture MashUp will be highlighting a group of FinTech entrepreneurs currently based in Little Rock.
In partnership with the Venture Center, Startup Junkie is bringing the participants of the FIS FinTech Accelerator to discuss their early stage companies. Each accelerator participant will pitch their idea, and afterwards, attendees will have the chance to network with the founders.
“This will be an excellent opportunity to connect with other members of the Arkansas’ incredible entrepreneurial ecosystem,” Caleb Talley, Startup Junkie marketing coordinator, says. “We look forward to building upon this community alongside our friends from the Venture Center in Little Rock and hearing from the newest cohort of FinTech startups participating in the 2019 FIS FinTech Accelerator.”
The program is a chance for the NWA entrepreneurial community to learn more about the resources outside the state, but it’s also an opportunity for the accelerator participants to get a better understanding of the Natural State’s startup ecosystem.
“We love having the ESO community together at NWA Mashup. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our FIS Fintech participants to connect with entrepreneurial resources across the state. It’s a privilege to collaborate with the Startup Junkie team each year on events like this,” Wayne Miller, executive director of The Venture Center, says.
The event will be held Thursday, June 13, at 1 East Center Street in Fayetteville, starting at 5:30 p.m.
The schedule will be:
• 5:30 p.m. – Pre-event networking
• 6:00 p.m. – Introductions
• 6:10 p.m. – Start of FIS FinTech Accelerator pitches
• 6:25 p.m. – Resume networking
