| Kelley Bass has stepped down as CEO of the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock, and J. Michael Nauman has been named interim CEO while a search is held for a permanent replacement. Bass served as CEO for 12 years and led the museum through significant growth and renovation. Nauman has served on the museum board for 15 years. He brings 35 years of leadership experience, having previously served as president of Brady Corp. and executive vice president of Molex Inc. “Michael has been an advocate for the museum’s mission for many years, and we are confident in his ability to lead us forward,” said museum board chair Melissa Bandy. “We appreciate his willingness to step into this role and guide us through this transition.” The museum’s upcoming fundraiser, The Spark!, will include a luncheon on Nov. 4 and a gala on Nov. 12. Two new galleries, Small Fry Fish Camp and Curiosity Spot!, open Nov. 23. “I am honored to support the talented team at the Museum of Discovery during this time of transition,” Nauman said. “Together, we will continue to provide engaging and educational experiences for our visitors while building a bright future for the museum.” READ ALSO: Sissy Jones Honored by Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches |
