The beloved classic Arkansas restaurant chain Minute Man has set a target to open in July for curbside delivery and drive-thru at their new location in Jacksonville. Depending on COVID-19 restrictions, limited indoor seating could start in the fall.
Minute Man was founded in the late 1940s and named “not only a nod to American history and patriotism, but also a way of conveying to customers the speed of service,” according to its Facebook.
Perry Smith, president of Minute Man, announced in April that Jacksonville had been selected as the home for the new restaurant.
As of May 16, all interior demolition is complete and the awnings are down, the restaurant owners announced via social media. The new location is 140 John Harden Drive.
Minute Man currently operates one restaurant – Minute Man #14 in El Dorado, which is the last heritage location. The El Dorado restaurant is expected to have an updated menu and restaurant experience.
