Michael Bloomberg Enters 2020 Presidential Race

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has officially entered the presidential race.

On Sunday morning, Bloomberg announced that he would be running in the Democratic presidential primary.

In a statement released on his campaign website, Bloomberg focused heavily on President Donald Trump.

“I’m running for president to defeat Donald Trump and rebuild America. We cannot afford four more years of President Trump’s reckless and unethical actions. He represents an existential threat to our country and our values,” Bloomberg said.

Before his official announcement, Bloomberg made the trip to Arkansas to file for the Democratic ballot on Nov. 12, the final day of filing. The presidential primary in Arkansas is on March 3, 2020.

Bloomberg is the co-founder, CEO and owner of Bloomberg L.P., a financial services and media company. He has an estimated wealth of more than $50 billion.
