Meredith Green, MSN, APRN, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Washington Regional Medical Center, received the 2018 C.E. Melville Young Administrator of the Year Award during the Arkansas Hospital Association’s annual convention on October 4. Named for the late C. E. Melville, a longtime Arkansas hospital administrator, the award is presented each year by the Arkansas Health Executives Forum.
Green, who assumed her executive role at Washington Regional in 2017, has worked for the medical center for more than 11 years. She has served in various leadership roles, including Administrative Director in Women and Infants Services, where she played an integral role in the planning, design and staffing of Washington Regional’s Women and Infants Center that opened in 2016.
Green earned both a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Arkansas and received credentialing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult and Geriatric Health. She received the ANGELS Award for Outstanding Service to Obstetrical Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and was voted Washington Regional’s Nurse of the Year in 2009 and Director of the Year in 2016 and 2017.
