After more than 30 years with the company, VCC Construction chief operating officer Bill McPherson is stepping down at the end of 2020.
According to VCC, McPherson’s departure is part of a multi-year departmental succession plan. McPherson’s retirement was reportedly announced at the beginning of 2020 to the VCC internal team.
Senior vice president of operations John Allan is set to take over McPherson’s responsibilities upon his retirement.
McPherson joined VCC in 1989, starting as a foreman. Since that first role, he has participated in more than 1,000 projects, according to a VCC release. He was named the construction company’s COO in 2010, according to his LinkedIn profile.
