LRPD to drop charges against Rep. Walker, apologize

City Manager Bruce Moore announced today the Little Rock police department will formally drop charges against state Rep. John Walker and his legal colleague Omavi Kushukuru and send them a formal letter of apology. The department reviewed yesterday’s arrest of Walker and his colleague Omavi Kushukuru for obstruction of governmental operations. The two men were filming police officers at a traffic stop, which led to their arrest.

UPDATE: According to arktimes.com, the charge for obstruction of governmental operations will not be dropped against Omavi Kushukuru.
