The LIttle Rock Zoo will be reopening on Saturday, July 11 at 9 a.m. after temporarily closing on July 3 due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19.
Since the Little Rock Zoo shut its doors, any exposed employees have tested negative and all facilities have been deep cleaned.
Online advanced ticket reservations are available here. The number of guests will be limited in timed intervals to encourage social distancing and prevent congestion at guest areas. There has been a one-way footpath created to help with the flow of guests. Furthermore, guests over the age of 10 will be required to wear masks at the Zoo.
“Wearing masks works to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and we will continue this practice to keep our guests, staff, volunteers and animals safe,” said Susan Altrui, director of the Little Rock Zoo, in a statement.
