The Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority has been awarded two 2026 National Environmental Achievement Awards from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies, recognizing excellence in infrastructure performance and public education.
LRWRA was honored in the following categories:
- Operations & Environmental Performance for its Sewer Service Line Replacement Program.
- Public Information & Education for JoJo the Water Hero.
“These national awards reflect the ingenuity and long-term impact of our teams,” said LRWRA CEO Jean Block. “Whether we are investing millions of dollars to help residents replace failing private service lines or building a culture of water stewardship through education, our mission remains the same. We serve Little Rock, protect public health and strengthen the infrastructure that supports our city’s future.”
The Sewer Service Line Replacement Program is a first-of-its-kind program launched in 2013. It reduces the risk of sewer backups and overflows and strengthens the overall system reliability. Through December 2025, LRWRA had reimbursed more than $10.5 million to more than 4,200 households.
JoJo the Water Hero, created in partnership with The Design Group, brings water education and responsible sewer use to life for children. Through school programs and community engagement, JoJo helps children understand their role in protecting public health and the environment.
