An Arkansas company has been named to Forbes magazine’s list of the top startup employers.
Apptegy has been named to Forbes’ 2020 Top 500 Startup Employers list. The education technology startup is the only Arkansas company to make the list.
This list, in which Forbes worked with market research company Statista, identified startups that were liked the most by their own employees. In this inaugural list, Forbes evaluated approximately 2,500 U.S. startups that have at least 50 employees.
The rankings were determined by three criteria factors: employer reputation, employee satisfaction, and growth.
Apptegy was ranked at #370 on the 2020 list. The top spot was taken by Allbirds, a San Francisco-based retail startup.
“It’s an honor to be selected as an honoree on the Forbes list,” Apptegy CEO Jeston George said in a statement. “From the very beginning, we have said that company culture is the most important element to long-term success. This award shows the result of all the hard work from our people across the company to make Apptegy a great place to work.”
Founded in 2013, Apptegy develops marketing and community engagement tools for K-12 school districts. According to a company news release, Apptegy is currently working with more than 1,000 districts across 49 states.
