Lexicon president and CEO Patrick Schueck was honored Wednesday, October 15 as Little Rock Rotary Club’s Business and Professional Leader of the Year during a ceremony at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Reynolds Center for Business and Economic Development.
Schueck, a Little Rock native, has overseen Lexicon’s growth into a statewide and national power in the field of construction and steel fabrication. He also serves as chairman for the Clinton National Airport Commission.
“Few companies embody the spirt of innovation, impact and investment in people more clearly than Lexicon,” UA Little Rock Chancellor Christina Drale said. “As CEO, Patrick has grown Lexicon into a billion-dollar enterprise, and has not only reshaped skylines across the country, but has transformed the economic landscape of Arkansas under his leadership.”
Under Schueck, Lexicon has been a catalyst for economic advancement in eastern Arkansas, managing the construction of a Big River Steel plant near Osceola that employs more than 154 when fully operational. Lexicon also recently announced a partnership with The Academies of Central Arkansas for a four-year industry training program at Mills High School in Little Rock.
“I’ve said it a thousand times, we’re not a construction company, we’re a people company that happens to be pretty damn good at construction,” Schueck said. “This award represents the 3,400 hard-working employees of Lexicon that work coast to coast to make sure that we get the opportunity to walk in and build America.”
