Citizens Bank, headquartered in Batesville, announced on Tuesday the promotion of Jerrod Sandefur to vice president, commercial lending.
Sandefur is an Independence County native and has been with the bank for five years. His expert involvement in the Impact Lending Program recently helped facilitate $129,000 in grants to be given to businesses in Batesville’s historic downtown. Sandefur will continue to grow the bank’s loan portfolio in this new role by serving its customers in Arkansas.
“Jerrod has been instrumental in our Impact Lending Program, which was designed to assist with the revitalization of downtown Batesville and resulted in more than $6.5 million loaned at low interest rates directly to our historic downtown district,” said Micah Beard, regional president of the North Central Arkansas Market at Citizens Bank. “He has proven to be a very important part of our team and we know he will continue to go above and beyond to help our customers and community.”
