J.B. Hunt Transport Services has added multiple technology upgrades to J.B. Hunt 360, including temperature-controlled transportation services to one of its shipping platforms.
Shippers using J.B. Hunt’s Shipper 360 will now be able to utilize a range of temperature settings when using the platform to ship. According to a J.B. Hunt news release, shippers will be able to book a shipment in as short a time span as three minutes.
“J.B. Hunt 360 has opened the marketplace for shippers and carriers to connect, and we continue to expand that by bringing new solutions, such as temperature-controlled, into the platform,” Shelley Simpson, chief commercial officer and executive vice president of people and human resources at J.B. Hunt, said in a statement. “Shipper 360, specifically, enables businesses of all sizes to be more responsive in today’s dynamic freight market and match their capacity needs with the right truck at the right time.”
J.B. Hunt has also addressed the design for Shipper 360, increasing its usability and providing more flexible shipping windows and mode recommendations. The update also provides real-time rates based on carrier demands and access to a pool of more than 777,000 trucks. Shippers will be able to compare rates, schedule deliveries and set alerts using the new Shipper 360 application.
