J.B. Hunt reports third quarter drop in earnings

J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. announced on Monday morning a third quarter 2016 net earnings of $109.4 million, or diluted earnings per share of 97 cents versus third quarter 2015 net earnings of $115.1 million, or 99 cents per diluted share.Total operating revenue for the current quarter was $1.69 billion, compared with $1.59 billion for the third quarter 2015.
