More than 100 Arkansas school districts have had 50 or more new COVID-19 infections per 10,000 district residents, according to the latest report from the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI).
The health organization announced that 102 school districts had 50 or more new known cases in the last 14 days. In addition, there were seven school districts with 100 or more new known infections per 10,000 district readers in the previous two weeks.
Of the 102 school districts, 82 were holdovers from last week’s list. Twenty of the school districts were added to the list this week.
The school districts with 100 or more cases per 10,000 district residents included the school districts in Clarendon, Cleveland County, Danville, Glen Rose, Hampton, Hazen and McCroy.
ACHI determines the school districts’ infection rates by analyzing data from the Arkansas Department of Health. ACHI uses both confirmed and probable cases in its known infection rate data.
