Highlands Oncology recently announced that CEO Jeff Hunnicutt concluded his service with the organization on June 19, marking the end of an eight-year tenure that saw significant growth and expansion across Northwest Arkansas.
During Hunnicutt’s leadership, Highlands Oncology doubled in size, expanded its services throughout the region, strengthened its clinical research programs and invested in new technology and facilities. The organization also increased access to comprehensive cancer care for patients across Northwest Arkansas.
As the organization begins the search for its next chief executive officer, Dr. Thad Beck will serve as interim CEO. Highlands officials said Beck will provide leadership and continuity while the board conducts a nationwide search process.

Highlands Oncology said it remains committed to delivering innovative, compassionate cancer care and advancing treatment options for patients throughout the region.
The organization noted it is well-positioned for continued growth and will remain focused on its mission of providing world-class cancer care close to home.
