Gutierrez founded Aptus Financial in 2011 after working as a research associate at Stephens Inc. According to the company’s website, Aptus was founded in order to provide access to financial advising with no conflicts of interest and with a simple fee.
“I am thrilled to have this personal recognition, but more importantly to have the opportunity to help advance the trend toward flat fees for retirement plan advice, financial planning and investment management. The Aptus team and I are produce to create another Arkansas company with a national impact,” Gutierrez said.
In addition to founding Aptus, Gutierrez is one of the co-founders of the Save10 Challenge. This initiative aims to help women save 10 percent of their income for retirement.
