The groundbreaking ceremony for the Cammack Village New City Center was held recently, marking a major milestone in a community-driven effort to enhance city services and create a central gathering space for residents.
The new city center is funded through a voter-approved capital improvement bond and reflects input gathered through a series of town halls and community meetings. Designed to serve as a hub for municipal operations and community engagement, the project represents a long-term investment in the future of Cammack Village.
“Thank you to the community for coming out in support of this exciting moment in Cammack’s history,” Mayor Cody Kees said. “I look forward to this building not only for city services and our beloved CVPD, but also as a place for our neighbors to gather and share life with each other.”
Construction of the new center, led by Nabholz, is expected to be complete in early 2027. Key features include a flexible meeting space that accommodates a variety of uses, a built-in safe room to enhance safety and an exterior design featuring exposed wood trusses to create a warm, welcoming presence for the community.
