Thirty-five Arkansas counties have reported positive cases of coronavirus. This marks an increase of four counties with at least one positive case of coronavirus since yesterday.
The new counties with at least one positive case are Crawford, Cross, Stone and White counties. The other counties include Benton, Washington, Sebastian, Polk, Sevier, Boone, Searcy, Van Buren, Conway, Pope, Cleburne, Faulkner, Pulaski, Saline, Garland, Grant, Jefferson, Clark, Cleveland, Desha, Lincoln, Bradley, Union, Columbia, Woodruff, Independence, Lawrence, Greene, Craighead, Poinsett, Crittenden.
According to the Arkansas Department of Health’s website, the majority of counties with confirmed cases have between 1-4 positives. However, there are three counties with 20-100 cases each. These counties are Pulaski County with 62 cases, Cleburne County with 28 cases, and Jefferson County with 21 cases.
In total, Arkansas has 201 confirmed cases as of Tuesday morning. There are 46,450 cumulative positive cases in the United States and 387,382 worldwide.
Six individuals in Arkansas have recovered from coronavirus, while no deaths have been attributed to the disease. At the global level, 101,987 individuals have recovered from the virus with 16,767 deaths attributed to the virus.
Health officials have tested 1,132 individuals in Arkansas for coronavirus so far with 931 negative tests.
