First Community Bank, which serves Northwest Arkansas with two locations, recently announced the hiring of Nuvia Morton as vice president of business development and consumer lending for the bank’s Rogers market.
Morton began her career in banking while still attending Rogers High School. She holds a Customer Lending Certification, Supervisor School Certification, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Certification, and is a certified mortgage lender through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System.
“I’ve had a passion for community engagement and involvement since my high school days, and over the past 28 years of banking,” she said in a press release. “I’ve had the privilege of building relationships through events, outreach and education.”
In her role, she will work to build consumer and business relationships, strengthen lending opportunities and foster community partnerships in Rogers. She said she looks forward to bringing more financial understanding to the community and helping people and businesses thrive.
Morton is also involved in her community through many organizations, including Dress for Success, Hustle in Heels, Children’s Safety Center of Washington County and the chaplaincy unit at Washington Regional Hospital.
“Nuvia’s extensive background in banking and her passion for connecting with people make her a tremendous asset to our Rogers team,” said Natalie Bartholomew, community president for Northwest Arkansas at First Community Bank. “Her expertise in consumer lending, coupled with her dedication to serving the community, will strengthen our ability to meet the needs of individuals and businesses throughout Northwest Arkansas.”
