The planned Ridge Athletics Center in Jonesboro has been renamed the First Community Bank Sportsplex following a 15-year naming rights agreement valued at $4.5 million.
The 200,000-square-foot complex, projected to open early in 2027, will serve as a venue for various athletic competitions and community gatherings. It will include space for 12 basketball courts and 24 volleyball courts, an Olympic-sized pool with seating for 1,245 spectators and a 35,000-square-foot events center.
It will be managed by The Sports Facilities Companies.
“The partnership with First Community Bank shows us just how excited Jonesboro and northeast Arkansas are to have a facility like this,” Jonesboro Advertising and Promotion Commission Executive Director Craig Rickert said. “Very few facilities have this kind of support, let alone months before they open.”
