Easterseals Arkansas is preparing to open the doors to its brand-new Academy campus in Little Rock, marking a major step forward in its mission to deliver inclusive, individualized education for students with disabilities.
The grand opening celebration will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, at the Academy’s new home at 11801 Fairview Road. The ceremony, held inside the school’s cafeteria, will feature remarks from Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Easterseals leadership and even students from the Academy. A ribbon-cutting and guided tours of the facility will follow, with a reception capping off the event.
“We are thrilled to open the doors to our new Academy campus,” said Easterseals Arkansas CEO Ron Ekstrand. “This facility represents our vision for a future where all children, regardless of ability, have access to the education, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.”
The new school was designed to provide customized educational programming that focuses on helping each student thrive in a supportive, empowering environment.
This milestone reflects more than 80 years of Easterseals Arkansas’ work across the state, offering services like therapy, education and community support for individuals and families living with disabilities.
The event is open to community members, supporters and media interested in learning more about the Academy’s approach to education and the impact it hopes to make on the lives of students and families in Central Arkansas.
