A new convention hotel and venue have been proposed for the Pinnacle Hills area of Rogers. Lance Beaty, owner of Beaty Capital Group in Rogers, said the development will include a 16-story, 207-room Dream Hotel coupled with a 2,000-person TempleLive venue.
The development is a good fit for the growing area, he added.
“I just think that, as the market changes, projects with scale are required to make the economics work, and we felt like it was a great location and a good opportunity, so we just pursued it,” he said. “There was no magic about it.”
Highlighted by the high-quality amenities offered at Dream Hotels, the lifestyle hotel will provide conference capabilities, banquet space, meeting rooms and a rooftop space, he said. Multiple restaurants will be included in the development, as well, he said.
“It will have a big impact on the overall livability of the Pinnacle Hills area,” he said, adding that the development will benefit northwest Arkansas as a whole. “I think it will make it, certainly, much more friendly as a tourist destination, much more friendly as a music destination and a meeting destination.”
Beaty Capital Group currently produces more than 300 live events featuring national touring acts at TempleLive venues in Fort Smith, Cleveland, Columbus, Ohio, and Wichita, Kansas. The proposed Rogers venue will bring crowds of 1,800 to 2,000 people to events year-round, putting it in a different market than the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion in Rogers, which operates seasonally and hosts crowds of 6,000 to 9,000, Beaty said.
“We complement each other as a music town,” he added.
The total project budget is more than $150 million, he said. Daniel Ellis at Crafton Tull in Rogers is the engineer, and Studio 6 Architects in Fort Smith is the architect, he added.
If all goes well, he said, he expects approval for the project in late April. Construction should begin in the first quarter of next year and take 18 to 24 months, putting the opening date toward the end of 2026, he said.
