After a national search, Debbie McLoud has been named Director of Human Resources at the University of Arkansas.
Mrs. McLoud served since July as interim associate vice chancellor for Human Resources, and will permanently take over the position effective December 1st, 2016.
Ms. McLoud joined the human resources office in 1991 and became director of employee development and special programs in 2004. She served as interim associate vice chancellor for Human Resources from January 2010 until October 2012, and then was named director of employee services.
“Sometimes you need to have a national search to determine that the best person for the job is already here,” said Tim O’Donnell, vice chancellor for finance and administration. “Debbie has been an outstanding member of the Human Resources staff for 25 years, she knows every facet of the office and has served as interim associate vice chancellor twice in the past six years. The search committee had no problem deciding that she was the best possible candidate for the job.
