Starting next week, school board and municipal candidate filing will begin in Pulaski County in overlapping periods.
The school district board filing period begins Monday, July 27 at 12 p.m. and runs through Monday, Aug. 3. Meanwhile, the municipal candidate filing period begins Wednesday, July 29 at 12 p.m. and runs through Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 12 p.m.
Three school districts will be participating in the filing period. These districts include the Little Rock School District, the North Little Rock School District and Pulaski County Special School District.
Candidates for city government seats in Cammack Village, Maumelle, North Little Rock and Wrightsville will file at the Pulaski County Courthouse. Little Rock candidates will file at Little Rock City Hall.
The school district candidates will also file at the Pulaski County Courthouse. Hours for filing run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during weekdays.
In order to file, candidates must submit a petition, political practices pledge and an affidavit of eligibility with the Pulaski County clerk.
Early voting will open on Monday, October 19 with the last day of early voting falling on Monday, Nov. 2. Election Day will be on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
