Cynergy Cargo 2 has launched its operation in Crossett with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the completion of its first trailer at its new facility.
In April 2020, the Douglas, Ga.-based trailer manufacturer announced its plans to construct a new facility in the Crossett Industrial Park. The company is hire to employ 70 full-time employees, including carpenters, welders and electricians, for the Crossett facility over the course of 24 months.
Gov. Asa Hutchinson was on hand at the ribbon-cutting and secured the final screw in the facility’s first trailer.
“We appreciate the way that the state and the Crossett community have welcomed us and shown us outstanding support throughout this process,” Cynergy Cargo owner Vigler Mazariegos said in a statement. “Today marks the beginning of our operations in Crossett, and we are excited to celebrate the occasion with the final assembly of the first trailer manufactured here.”
Founded in 2012, Cynergy Cargo produces enclosed cargo trailers, operating two lines of trailers – basic and advanced – in a range of sizes and colors. According to the company website, it has produced more than 30,000 trailers since its establishment.
The Crossett facility will more than double the company’s workforce. Currently, the Georgia location has approximately 60 employees.
“The Crossett workforce has always been known for its hard work and dedication.” Mike Preston, secretary of commerce and executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC), said. “We are thrilled to welcome Cynergy to the Crossett business community and look forward to a long partnership.”
