An enclosed cargo trailer manufacturer is constructing a new facility in Crossett.
Cynergy Cargo, a trailer manufacturer based in Douglas, Ga., announced its plans to build a new facility in the Crossett Industrial Park and hire 70 fulltime employees. According to the company, the process will take place over the coming 24 months.
The company has produced enclosed cargo trailers since 2012. The company has two lines of trailers – basic and advanced – that are offered in multiple sizes and colors. Cynergy has built more than 30,000 trailers during that period, according to its company website.
“Cynergy Cargo is a great fit for Arkansas,” Secretary of Commerce Mike Preston said in a statement. “We embrace small businesses, and we believe that Cynergy has the business tools and entrepreneurial spirit needed to grow and succeed. We couldn’t be happier that they chose to invest in the workforce and community in Crossett.”
This facility will more than double Cynergy’s current workforce and increase its number of production lines. Its Georgia facility employs 60 employees and has two production lines. The Crossett facility, in addition to adding 70 new employees, will add a third production line.
The new employees at the Crossett facility will include carpenters, welders, and electricians.
Cynergy Cargo owner Vigler Mazariegos said that the decision to move to Arkansas was motivated by support from local and state leaders, as well as a need to be closer to customers.
“Through every step of the process, we have received outstanding support from Crossett Economic Development Commission as well as the Arkansas Economic Development Commission,” he said. “In the spirit of progress, these leaders have expressed immense interest to create more employment opportunities for citizens.”
Until construction on its permanent facility is completed, Cynergy plans to operate in a temporary facility in Crossett.
