City Year Little Rock will be celebrating its 20th anniversary with its “Rock Your Red” fundraiser April 17 at The Hall in Little Rock.
The event will include live music from the Rodney Block Collective, as well as bands, cheer teams and dancers from the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District and the Little Rock School District. Food, drinks and birthday cake will be provided. Proceeds will help support academic outcomes for students in central Arkansas as well as City Year’s mission of leadership development.
“City Year’s two decades of impact in Central Arkansas simply wouldn’t be possible without the community’s unwavering support,” said Senior Vice President and Executive Director Jennifer Cobb. “Hosting this party is a fitting and fun way to celebrate past achievements and collectively recommit to providing opportunities for young people to thrive, both in the classroom and their future careers.”

City Year is a youth-focused organization dedicated to enabling young people through leadership opportunities and national service. City Year is a member of AmeriCorps and operates in 29 U.S. cities.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, AmeriCorps Little Rock members have served as full-time tutors and mentors in the Little Rock School District (Chicot Elementary, JA Fair K-8 Preparatory Academy, Lacey K-8 Academy, Mabelvale Middle and Stephens Elementary) and Jacksonville North Pulaski School District (Jacksonville Elementary and Murrell Taylor Elementary).
Rock Your Red will feature a short program with tributes to 20 years of Red Jacket honorees, the annual Susan Purvis Excellence in Teaching Award presentation, and inspiring stories from City Year AmeriCorps members. Individual tickets for $75 include food, dessert and two drinks. Tickets and additional information is available here.
