CHI St. Vincent has named Garrett Lewis its new vice president of medical affairs for central Arkansas.
In this new role, Lewis will help oversee management and operations of CHI St. Vincent’s central Arkansas medical staff, according to a press release. Lewis has served since 2019 as medical director of the CHI St. Vincent emergency department, where he has also worked as an emergency physician since 2010. He will retain his emergency department duties while assuming his new role as vice president.
Lewis is a Little Rock native who graduated from and completed his medical training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
“Dr. Lewis is a proven and innovative leader with a deep commitment to patient-centered care,” William Jones, CHI St. Vincent Infirmary president and chief medical officer, said in a statement. “We are pleased to have him join the leadership team in this new role, as we know he will be instrumental in continuing the mission of CHI St. Vincent to offer quality and accessible care for all of our patients and their families.”
