CHI St. Vincent Infirmary has named a new director for its Little Rock emergency department. Nisha Trenthem is set to take the helm for the Little Rock department.
Trenthem is currently serving as the health system’s Director of Education and Nursing Excellence, a role she had held since July 2017. She will remain in this position while assuming operational oversight for the Little Rock emergency department.
“Nisa has shown herself to be a devoted nurse with a commitment to continued education in the changing landscape of healthcare,” CHI St. Vincent Infirmary Chief Medical Officer Dr. Gerry Jones said in a statement. “We look forward to the vision and leadership she now brings to the Emergency Department at CHI St. Vincent.”
She has previously experience serving in leadership roles, having previously served as the assistant director of nursing for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and as Baptist Health Medical Center’s supervisor of its intensive care unit, cath lab and interventional radiology.
Trenthem holds a bachelor’s degree in registered nursing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as well as a master’s degree in nursing administration and nursing education from UAMS.
