CHI St. Vincent Infirmary has appointed a new medical director of patient access.
Dr. George “Hutch” Hutchinson has been promoted to the role of Medical Director of Patient Access. As the director, he will be charged with improving patient experience at CHI and increasing care efficiency.
“Hutch has played an instrumental part in creating the stable emergency room environment that we have all come to appreciate,” Dr. Gerry Jones, CHI St. Vincent Vice President of Medical Affairs for Central Arkansas, said. “His passion for working with patients and providing excellent care is evident to everyone that comes in contact with him.”
Hutchinson has worked at CHI since 1998. He will continue to serve in the emergency room but will focus primarily on patient access.
He is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed residencies in internal medicine and emergency medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. In addition, he is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
