The Central Arkansas Hawkeyes have unveiled their visionary plan to construct a cutting-edge precision shooting range. The landmark project aims to fill a void in Arkansas’ shooting sports landscape by providing a dedicated facility for youth and collegiate precision shooting athletes.
The proposed state-of-the-art precision shooting range is expected to become a focal point for aspiring athletes, as well as a hub for nurturing talent and hosting a range of competitions, from entry-level youth matches to prestigious invitational contests for collegiate and elite-level precision shooting athletes.
According to the company, the envisioned precision shooting range will play a pivotal role in expanding the reach of precision shooting sports in Arkansas. With limited facilities available for youth and collegiate precision shooting athletes, the new range is set to fill that gap, providing a safe, high-quality environment for athletes to hone their skills and compete at various levels.
In addition to serving as a training ground for the Central Arkansas Hawkeyes, the range is expected to foster partnerships with other shooting sports organizations and local leaders. This collaborative approach will enable the hosting of matches, workshops, and even unique training opportunities conducted by NCAA and Olympic-level athletes and coaches. Such initiatives will not only contribute to the development of precision shooting athletes but also bring substantial economic benefits to Faulkner County, surrounding counties and the state as a whole.
The Central Arkansas Hawkeyes are actively seeking partnerships within the shooting sports community and local leadership to turn this ambitious vision into a reality. By working together, the team aims to provide Arkansas youth with opportunities to engage in the only shooting sport recognized by the NCAA, while also establishing a world-class facility that reflects the spirit of dedication and excellence that defines the Central Arkansas Hawkeyes.
