Carelink, Central Arkansas’ Area Agency on Aging, announces the launch of a community workshop for caregivers, in collaboration with Alzheimer’s Arkansas and the Arkansas Geriatric Education Collaborative at UAMS. The free, virtual event will be held online Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and will feature speakers from all three organizations. The goal of the sessions is to educate, encourage, and support caregivers in the community.
“CareLink is thrilled to have the help of our friends at Alzheimer’s Arkansas and UAMS with this workshop. Being a caregiver can be very hard and isolating, which makes it even more important for events like these so they can connect with other caregivers,” Elise Hensley, care coordination manager said. “As well as learn about resources and services for their own mental and physical health, and the people they’re serving.”
