The Build My Future event is back for its third year, bringing 1,800 Arkansas high school students and teachers to the Conway Expo Center on Thursday, April 2, for an immersive construction career showcase hosted by Associated Builders and Contractors of Arkansas.
Build My Future is a hands-on experience designed to spark confidence and open doors. From welding and robotics to electrical work, roofing, VR simulators and heavy equipment operation, participants step directly into the world of skilled trades in a safe, real-world environment.
Over the past two years, Arkansas construction leaders have shown up in force, giving students the chance to handle real tools, learn foundational skills and experience what it truly feels like to work in the industry. As demand for skilled workers continues to grow across the state, Build My Future is helping shape the workforce of tomorrow, one student at a time.
“Build My Future is about building a legacy for Arkansas’s construction industry one year at a time,” said Bill Roachell, president of ABC Arkansas. “Each year, we’re seeing more students discover talents they didn’t know they had and gain confidence through real, hands-on experiences. We can’t wait to see even more young people inspired to pursue careers in construction and become the next generation of leaders who will help build Arkansas’ future.”
