Most people drive to walk. Others bike. Now, there is one office building where employees can bike at work.
In downtown Bentonville, work has commenced on a six-story, 230,000 square-foot office complex that will be bikeable. Named “The Ledger,” this office building is designed with exterior switchbacks that allow for outdoor access on each floor, allowing for open-air meeting.
It is located at 240 South Main Street in Bentonville.
The Ledger will have a mix of office and retail space, along with a 3,900 foot walkable and bikeable path. According to its website, the Ledger is “designed for movement and interaction, creating an energetic hub for companies and ideas.”
“Our goal from day one was to provide Bentonville with a Class A workplace that goes beyond just an office building to connecting directly with the growing community in Northwest Arkansas. And, construction continues to track on schedule despite the ongoing pandemic,” developer Josh Kyles of Center City, LLC said in a statement.
WeWork was initially involved in the building but is no longer associated with the project. Kyles is developing the project, with Nabholz Construction providing the construction services and Marlon Blackwell Architects designing the structure.
The Ledger is on track to open in the first quarter of 2022.
Cushman & Wakfield | Sage Partners will serve as the building’s managers, and pre-leasing has begun. Those interested in leasing opportunities can call Marshall Saviers at (479) 845-3000 and visit ledgerbentonville.com.
