The Venture Center has announced the appointment of a new director for communications and brand engagement. Becky Pittman has been named as the nonprofit’s new head of communications.
As the Director of Communications and Brand Engagement, Pittman will be responsible for all the Venture Center’s strategic communications. Her work will encompass all of the Venture Center’s community programs and fintech accelerators.
“We are thrilled to welcome Becky to our team” Wayne Miller, executive director of the Venture Center, said in a statement. “Her extensive marketing and strategic communications background makes her an excellent fit for telling The Venture Center’s story, as well as the stories of those entrepreneurs working to drive innovation in Arkansas and around the world.”
Most recently, Pittman operated a full-service agency that represented multiple clients in the non-profit, for-profit and political sectors. She previously headed marketing for Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas.
“My career has long focused on industries and issues that can have a tremendous impact on people’s lives, from political and public affairs campaigns to non-profits serving the greater good,” Pittman said. “The Venture Center is no different. Our work building the entrepreneurial ecosystem spans a broad range from local small businesses to global fintechs and has an unquantifiable potential impact. What makes it even more exciting is that it’s happening in my adopted hometown of Little Rock.”
