ACANSA Arts Festival of the South will honor Pulaski County Judge Barry Hyde and Jeanne Hyde with the prestigious Charlotte Gadberry Award on March 5. The annual award, named after ACANSA’s founder, recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts and the Central Arkansas community.
The event will feature a buffet dinner, drinks and a special performance by Bonnie Montgomery, a celebrated Arkansas musician known for blending parlor songs, country, classical music and operatic arias. Montgomery has earned multiple accolades, including the 2020 Entertainer of the Year from the Arkansas Country Music Awards.
Jeanne Hyde, founder of The Printing Department, has long been an advocate for the arts, playing a key role in projects such as the Little Rock River Market’s Sculpture Garden and serving on various community boards. Barry Hyde, now in his fourth term as Pulaski County Judge, has spent years championing economic development, education and quality of life initiatives while also supporting the arts.
The Hydes join an esteemed list of past honorees, including Charlotte Gadberry, Linda Newbern, Sharon Heflin, Craig O’Neill, Garbo and Dr. Archie Hearne III, Vincent Insalaco, and Martin and Melissa Thoma.
