Bryan Barnhouse has been named chief executive officer for the Arkansas Research Alliance.
This promotion was effective Friday, Jan. 1., and ARA president Jerry Adams announced the promotion on Monday, Jan. 4. Most recently, Barnhouse served as the ARA’s chief operating officer.
“Bryan came to ARA with strong economic development experience with both the Jefferson County Alliance as well as the State of Arkansas’ Economic Development Commission with both state and international experience,” Adams said in a statement. “He has made important contributions to ARA’s impact.”
Before joining the ARA in 2016, Barnhouse served with the Economic Development Alliance of Jefferson County.
The ARA was founded in 2008 as a public-private partnership to foster innovation and collaboration, working with five member universities, including the University of Arkansas, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Arkansas State University, UA Little Rock and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
