Baptist Health Medical Center-El Dorado has added the latest in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology to its list of services.
The Philips MR 5300 was recently added to the hospital’s diagnostic imaging suite. The new tech is expected to enhance speed, comfort and safety without compromising image quality, according to a press release.
“Our new MRI technology builds on the foundational investment from our previous board, reflecting Baptist Health’s ongoing commitment to bringing world-class care closer to home for El Dorado and our surrounding communities,” said Danna Taylor, president of Baptist Health Medical Center-El Dorado. “This MRI doesn’t just give our medical staff top-tier diagnostic tools – it truly transforms the experience for our patients by making it faster, safer and more comfortable.”
The new Philips MR 5300 addresses the most common anxieties patients face when getting an MRI – claustrophobia, discomfort and long scan times – while delivering the crystal-clear imaging physicians rely on for accurate diagnoses, the release stated.
Patients will immediately benefit through three key technological advancements: “lightning-fast” scan times, enhanced patient comfort and safety for medical transplants.
