Four years after opening, Arkansas State University’s Campus Queretaro in central Mexico graduated its first class.
The 40 members of the inaugural class each earned bachelor’s degrees, and received their diplomas during the American-style graduation ceremony held on Aug. 7. The class valedictorian was Kevin Ludwin Ramirez Chavez of Celaya, Mexico, who majored in electrical engineering.
Arkansas State University Chancellor Kelly Damphousse traveled from Jonesboro to present the diplomas.
The class is comprised of students from 23 cities in Mexico, five U.S. states and Japan.
