Steve Arrison, the longtime CEO of Visit Hot Springs and one of Arkansas’ most recognizable tourism leaders, is set to be inducted into the Arkansas Tourism Hall of Fame during the 53rd Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism and Outdoor Recreation. The conference will take place Feb. 22–24, 2026, in Little Rock.
Arrison has spent the past 27 years leading Visit Hot Springs, where he has shaped the city’s advertising, promotion and marketing strategy into a nationally recognized model for destination branding. Under his leadership, the Hot Springs Advertising and Promotion Commission manages a $14 million annual budget and helps attract more than 3.6 million overnight visitors to Hot Springs each year, fueling the local economy and elevating the city’s profile as a must-visit destination.
In addition to overseeing Visit Hot Springs, Arrison manages several of the city’s most prominent tourism assets, including the Hot Springs Convention Center, the Northwoods Biking and Hiking Trails System and the Majestic Park baseball complex. His work has consistently focused on expanding tourism while preserving the distinctive character and experiences that define Hot Springs.
Arrison is also known for creating some of the city’s most beloved and nationally recognized events. He founded the World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the Running of the Tubs Bathtub Races down historic Bathhouse Row and the Hot Springs Baseball Trail, each contributing to Hot Springs’ reputation for creativity, charm and unforgettable experiences.
His influence on tourism extends far beyond the city limits. Arrison served for 15 years on the Arkansas Parks, Recreation and Travel Commission, including a term as chairman, and previously held leadership roles as Chairman of the Arkansas Hospitality Association and President of its Travel Council. His accolades include induction into the Arkansas Hospitality Association Hall of Fame in 2005 and the Arkansas Outdoor Hall of Fame in 2025.
The Arkansas Tourism Hall of Fame honors individuals whose leadership and vision have left a lasting mark on the state’s tourism industry. Arrison’s induction recognizes nearly three decades of innovation, collaboration and dedication to positioning Hot Springs—and Arkansas—as premier destinations for travelers.
Additional details about the Governor’s Conference on Tourism and the Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be announced closer to the event.
