Arkansas Urology has added a physician assistant with more than 26 years of experience to its talent roster.
Ken Mitchell, PA, has joined the Little Rock-based urology practice. Arkansas Urology has 19 physicians with 14 physician extenders.
“We are excited to welcome Ken to the state and we are thrilled to have someone of his caliber join our skilled team of physicians and physician assistants,” Arkansas Urology CEO E. Scot Davis said in a statement. “Ken brings with him not only over two decades of experience, but also innovation and passion.”
Previously, Mitchell founded GUYnecology Men’s Health, an educational company that provided information and training on men’s health. He was also an assistant professor and founding program director of Meharry Medical College’s physician assistant sciences program in Nashville, Tenn.
He wrote “The Surgical Impotence Management” protocol, which is designed to provide “comprehensive patient education and delivery of care for men undergoing prostate cancer treatment,” according to an Arkansas Urology release.
Mitchell holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Dana College and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Physician Assistant Program.
