The Arkansas Research Alliance (ARA) is launching a new initiative to provide a closer look at the research going on in the state, as well as the researchers performing the work.
Dubbed ARA Project Scope, the new initiative will be a series of webinars featuring members of the ARA Academy of Scholars of Fellows. In the webinars, the scholars will make presentations of their work, giving the public greater insight into the work going on in local universities and federal laboratories.
“ARA Project Scope is an initiative we developed to give Arkansans a closer look at research and discovery in our universities and federal lab,” ARA president and CEO Jerry Adams said in a statement.
Each webinar will feature an hour-long presentation and discussion, hosted on Zoom.
The project will launch Sept. 23 with Dr. Mort Jensen, an associate professor of biomedical engineering at the University of Arkansas. Jensen is also an ARA Scholar.
All of the ARA Project Scope webinars will be free and open to the public. Registration is required and can be accessed here.
