Two companies have received marijuana cultivation licenses after an Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission meeting on Tuesday evening.
The two companies are River Valley Relief, based in Fort Smith, and New Day Cultivation, based in Hot Springs. These represent the final two Arkansas cultivation licenses, and there are now eight total cultivators in the state.
Eight licenses is the maximum number allowed under the state constitutional amendment legalizing medical marijuana.
In addition, the commission approved licensing for four new dispensaries. The new dispensaries include one in Northwest Arkansas, one in Central Arkansas and two in Northeast Arkansas. Natural Root Wellness will be located in Fayetteville, while Native Green Wellness will be located in Little Rock. MissCo Cannabis Dispensary will be located in Osceola. Green Cross Cannabis will be based in Highland, located in Fulton County.
