Four Arkansas banks have been ranked among the world’s best by Forbes magazine.
In the United States, 75 banks were listed on Forbes’ ‘The World’s Best Banks’ list. This list included Arvest Bank, Centennial Bank, Simmons Bank and Bank OZK.
All of the banks were also in Forbes’ 2020 list.
Arvest Bank had the highest ranking for an Arkansas bank, placing at no. 6 among U.S. banks, one spot up from 2020. The Fayetteville-headquartered has made the list for the third consecutive year.
“Customer feedback is an authentic indication of how a business or organization is performing, so we are pleased to receive this recognition,” Jim Cargill, president and CEO of Arvest Bank in Central, Northeast and Southwest Arkansas, said in a statement. “On the heels of a very challenging year, we appreciate our customers for continuing to give us the opportunity to serve them. We are also grateful to our associates who worked through many challenges and continued focus on providing the best service to our customers.
Centennial Bank, based in Conway, was the second-highest ranked Arkansas bank. Centennial was ranked no. 19 among U.S. banks, jumping multiple spots from its no. 22 ranking in 2020.
Simmons Bank and Bank OZK were neck-and-neck in the U.S. ranking, getting the no. 27 and no. 28 spots, respectively.
In total, 43,000 customers in 28 countries were polled by Statista for the ‘World’ Best Banks’ list. All of the banks were rated based on overall recommendation and satisfaction and according to five sub-dimensions. These included trust, terms and conditions, customer services, digital services, and financial advice.
