The Arkansas Bankers Association earned a Power of Associations Summit Award from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) for its successful Operation Vax Speed initiative.
Operation Vax Speed helped disburse thousands of vaccine shots for those that wanted them. Many banks held daily shot clinics in their drive-thrus, community rooms and parking lots for several months. Several other states adopted it after Arkansas introduced it.
“Congratulations to the Arkansas Bankers Association for exemplifying the impact associations have on the industries and professions they represent, and on society at large,” said ASAE President and CEO Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE. “It’s always so incredibly satisfying to see associations going above and beyond their everyday mission to change the world. We’re very proud to spotlight this award-winning initiative.”
”We are so pleased to receive ASAE’s highest honor for the association community,” said Arkansas Bankers Association President/CEO Lorrie Trogden. “Banks are the backbones of their communities, and when they recognize a need, they step up to help, regardless if it is specifically banking related or not.”
