Applications for water quality and resource management projects in the Buffalo River Watershed are now being accepted by the Buffalo River Conservation Committee.
The committee will be accepting funding requests through Dec. 15, 2020.
Created by a 2019 executive order from Gov. Asa Hutchinson, the conservation committee aims to facilitate projects that protect the water quality and value of the Buffalo National River. This committee consists of the secretaries for the Arkansas Department of Agriculture , the Department of Energy and Environment, the Department of Health, and the Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism.
During this round of funding, there will be approximately 167,400 available for disbursement from the committee.
