Home Health Care Agency of Arkansas, Southern Carrier Services
WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER TO BE THE DEFINING MOMENT OF YOUR CAREER SO FAR?
I was helping grow other people’s businesses before starting Home Health Care Agency of Arkansas. I finally asked myself, ‘What if I used those same skills to build something of my own — something with purpose?’
HOW HAS YOUR BUSINESS GROWN SINCE ITS INCEPTION?
We opened the doors to Home Health Care Agency of Arkansas in December 2019. Since then, we’ve grown from a few clients around Little Rock into a statewide operation. We serve more than 100 clients from Stuttgart and West Memphis to Fayetteville, providing personal care, companionship and transportation.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?
I made great money in the car industry, but now I’m doing something that makes a difference for people who can’t give anything back in return, and that feels right.
WHAT PRECAREER MOMENT HAS HAD THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON THE WAY YOU APPROACH YOUR WORK?
My father had multiple sclerosis. We took care of him — my sister and I as a child — and we watched him deteriorate with health issues right before our eyes. I learned early that how you treat people matters — especially people who can’t do for themselves. I wanted to create a company that reflected that.

WHAT GOALS OR MILESTONES DO YOU WANT TO REACH BEFORE YOU RETIRE?
If we can help one more person stay in their home, stay safe and feel seen, we’ve done our job.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE ETHOS OF YOUR COMPANY?
This is a faith-based business. Everything I have, God gave me. I want that to be reflected in how we treat people — clients and staff.
WHAT KIND OF TEAM CULTURE HAVE YOU BUILT?
Faith is a central part of my leadership style. Every workweek begins with prayer and a group discussion rooted in John Maxwell’s leadership books. In every hire, I screen for individuals who are not only trained but emotionally equipped with the compassion needed to do this work.
